Though not an absolutely complete price list (some spare parts and discontinued items are not shown - please call or email for details), the catalogue contains Recommended Retail Prices and product descriptions as well as illustrations of a wide variety of products. When used in conjunction with this website, you have unprecedented access to a wealth of information.
The correct prices appear on this website.
We issue a new hardcopy (i.e. paper) version of the catalogue each year in early January.
To request a paper catalogue, please email us.
To further reduce costs, your catalogue will be sent with your goods ordered after the publication date.
The current catalogue is 225 pages and weighs about a kilogram. Catalogues can be sent by mail separately but a postage charge will be incurred.
The downloadable version enables you to use the interactive links (text where the "hand" icon appears instead of the cursor arrow) to find our products very quickly.
The links on the first ("Contents") page take you to the beginning of each product section - you can then click on the active product names to go to the first page containing those products.
The links on the second ("Rapid Find Index") page take you to the first page of products of that particular type (e.g. clarinets or electric basses).
Each Section Divider page has an interactive index for the products listed. Simply click on the product ro page number to go to that page
Search for items by using the Acrobat "Find" function found on the Acrobat tool-bar - use the drop-down menu to select "Open Full Acrobat Search" and then enter the main word or number for the item you are seeking (e.g. oboe, E11, 270/48 etc). This results in a list of links directly to each occurence of the item in the catalogue. Click the link to go to that page and see the item highlighted.
Open the Pages menu on the right of screen to navigate to particular pages shown in miniature on the side.
You can also activate the Bookmarks section on the left of your screen. Simply scroll through to find the product sought.
In the top left hand corner of each page is a KJ logo - click on this to return to the Rapid Find Index page. Click on the Kurt Jacob name and catalogue date (top centre) to return to the Contents page. Click on the page title (top right) to return to the Section Divider page for the current section.
The catalogue is set out to enable you to print individual pages. Remember to set the printer to do this by clicking on "Current page" or putting the desired page numbers in the appropriate field in the Print window when it appears.
