SOLID SILVER:

925 stamped on the instrument means 92.5% silver in the metal (100% silver would be too soft to maintain its shape). Higher grade alloys are sometimes used, along with gold, platinum etc.

CURVED HEAD:(letter C or U) For younger players – allows them to hold the flute comfortably.

Curved Head

LIP-PLATE:

Provides contact between the player’s lower lip (& chin) and the instrument.
